This is a fantastic playing Florida Link. Marked a "3", this piece was refaced to a 7* by Erik Greiffenhagen, currently of Morgan Mouthpieces. This is a very difficult piece to let go of but I would love it to go to someone who will use it and care for it.
The tip and rails are perfect, table is flat, and bite plate has very minimal wear. I always used a mouthpiece patch when I played it the plating has worn off in some areas but that is to be expected for a 60 year old mouthpiece. I will be including a Francois Louis "Ultimate" ligature, which was my preferred ligature to play on this piece. It will ship with a cover on it as well, but that's really just for added protection of the tip and rails. It is not the cap that originally came with it or the Francois Louis ligature.
The sound is big and round, the subtones come out effortlessly, and it can brighten up a lot if you lean into it. I played every style of music with this piece but it is a truly great jazz mouthpiece.
I'm sad to see it go but I'm just not using it as much anymore.
