Item Description

This amp has never left my smoke-free house, and has been used for less than 20 hours. It truly IS mint. I bought it on a whim, but can't play much guitar anymore because of an injury, so someone else should have this amazing sounding, practically new amp. The reverb and tremolo are to die for, and because I got an aftermarket cover right away (included) it is very clean. The cover, original box and packaging, all cables and footswitch are included. This is a real deal. Standard description below.

Highly collectable 1960s Princetons bring beaucoup bucks on the vintage gear market. The coveted originals, as well as long-running Fender reissue models, are seen on stages and in studios worldwide. Handwired in Fender’s Corona, California factory, the 12-watt ’64 Princeton Reverb joins this esteemed group. Premium features include a hand-wired AA764 circuit with tube-driven spring reverb and tremolo, Fender Vintage Blue tone capacitors, Three 12AX7 and one 12AT7 preamp tubes, 5AR4/GZ34 rectifier tube, a matched pair of 6V6 output tubes generating 12 watts, and a 10" Jensen Alnico P10-R speaker for sparkling cleans and moderate breakup. The ’64 Princeton Reverb features a solid pine cabinet for resonance and light weight, extra-heavy-duty textured vinyl covering, and a gently aged silver grille cloth. A 2-button footswitch and amp cover included.

Whether you’re using it for practice, in the studio, or for smaller live rooms, the ’64 Princeton Reverb shines. This all-tube handwired combo puts 12 watts into a single, specially voiced Jensen 10" speaker for a range of incredible guitar tones. You can plug straight in for that inimitable Fender clean tone, or generate your own signature sounds with your favorite stompboxes. You also get great-sounding tremolo and, of course, reverb onboard the incredible ’64 Princeton Reverb!

Here’s a great example of an amp whose popularity and usefulness never went away — and now it’s more popular than ever among guitarists. The ’64 Princeton Reverb combines portability, tube tone, and vintage vibe to make a classic package that gets the job done for a range of styles and applications. Studio session? This amp’s 12-watt output puts it squarely in the favored small amp category that studio cats love: robust enough to move some air, but the wattage is low enough to let you crank it up and let that dual 6V6 output section really go to work. This is how the classic tones were put to tape, tape.

If you’re playing in a smaller venue and want an amp that can dish out the tone sauce at moderate volumes while still keeping up with a drummer, the ’64 Princeton Reverb is your guitar’s best friend. It’s got the wattage to do the job, while its great-sounding single 10" Jensen Special Design C-10R speaker is voiced perfectly to the amp. A compact design means you don’t need a cube van to transport the ’64 Princeton Reverb — it fits easily in your trunk or backseat. Once you plug and play this amp onstage, you won’t want to stop!

Sure, Fender made the ’64 Princeton Reverb to handle the rigors of the road, with tough cabinet construction and a durable vinyl covering. But if you want an all-tube practice amp that gives you the same (or better) sound quality as your live rig, here’s your ticket. Plug right in, turn it up, and roll back your guitar’s volume for some fat clean tones, then dial up a little grit as you see fit. You also get great-sounding onboard reverb and tremolo for pulling out everything from surf to swamp. Putting a stompbox or two in front of this amp means hours of rewarding tone-tweaking… so be prepared!
