Bought this brand-new from Sweetwater in January. I love how they show you pictures of the exact instrument you're getting and shows how much they weigh. Looks and weight are important. That sounds shallow, but it's OK, because we're talking about bass.
This instrument proved two things to me: I love the sound of a P-Bass (and/or P-Bass style pickup), and I do not love 5-strings and active electronics. I got this bass unlock my inner Hadrien Feraud, but instead it helped me discover my inner Michael League. Do we all know those names? Is this making any sense?
Ibanez SRs are hot-rodded instruments that are great for players who maybe need to do a little bit of everything, maybe have smaller hands and/or maybe just came from playing guitar. I'm looking for the bass of a cool dad, and this is the bass of a hot rod. If you read all that, you're a real one. Thanks.
