Up for sale is my 2010 PRS SE Mikael Akerfeldt Opeth Signature. I'm the original owner and have babied it since new. It's been stored its entire life in a temperature and humidity controlled office/music room, and it shows. This guitar has never been gigged. It weighs 7.8 lbs and is professionally set up with D'Addario NYXL 11–52 strings. I'm thinning the herd and this guitar deserves a player who will actually use it. Light surface scuffs that are expected with a 15 year old guitar. I took lots of pictures in different lighting so there are no surprises.
Condition: Excellent
This guitar presents beautifully. Wear is minimal after 15 years, close up photos are included. The frets look almost new. No buckle rash, no dings, no repairs. The gold hardware has the expected light oxidation consistent with age and careful storage, but nothing that detracts from the guitar's striking appearance.
Upgrades
The original PRS SE tuners have been replaced with Hipshot locking tuners using the Hipshot Universal Mounting Plate (UMP), meaning zero new holes were drilled and the headstock is unmodified. The original tuners are included so the next owner can restore the factory configuration if desired. Gold Dunlop Straploks are installed. The original strap buttons are not included.
