This Squier Strat has been a fun project for me as I did the relic to match the look of a relic custom Fender strat. Sonic Blue with upgrades including an upgraded fender string block, a pure tone input jack and vintage white pick guard. (I am including the original one with the sale)
This thing sings! The pickups on the 40th anniversary have all the straty tones and sound fantastic. One of the best aspects of this particular guitar is the neck. Vintage tint and rolled edges. I've got it set up for 10's and the neck is a real treat. Low, fast action and smooth frets. I have 3 other strats and the neck on this one is my favorite. Squier must have put some extra love into these 40th anniversary models.
The finish on the body is satin which made it a great candidate for the relic job. I know the look is not for everyone, but I've gotten alot of great compliments on it. I've tried a couple different pickup sets in it for fun, but the originals have the most chime to my ear.
