2015 ES-295 Scotty Moore Limited Edition
Bought from a pro player in June 2022, this guitar was made at the Unsung Plant, Korea in August, 2015, Production Number: 929. The seller had a killer set up done. It's fast, low action requires a super light touch, the Bisgby is sensitive and stable. I bought, but haven't installed, a Vibramate Spoiler String Retainer - NIB. Seller moved the strap button as evident in the photo of the back of the instrument.
The 2015 Gibson Memphis Limited Run 1952 ES-295 VOS (Vintage Original Spec) is a high-end reissue honoring the guitar famously played by Scotty Moore.
This instrument is almost flawless. That is the only reason I am not listing it as MINT. No buckle rash, no dings, no dents, no marks in the finish... nothing.
On to the important stuff
This guitar is absolutely amazing. Thin and super-fast 60's neck with glassy frets and fast fretboard.
The large body adds a depth and resonance I've not heard in any other guitar including my PRS Hollowbody guitars. Truly "acoustic" is how I must describe it. Perfect balance and lightweight to boot.
The Gibson Memphis Historic Spec P-90s sing as you'd expect and more, due to the hollow body adding deeper tones. Unpotted, alnico magnets.
