This is an upgraded Epiphone Les Paul Traditional Pro IV in Satin Wine Red, transformed into a top shelf instrument. It was originally manufactured in the same dedicated Gibson-Qingdao factory as the "Inspired by Gibson" line of instruments.
The neck has been Plek'd and not played much since then. The frets have been computer-leveled and dressed with microscopic precision, resulting in low action and a level of playability you won't find on a factory-standard Epiphone.
The pickups are a set of Gibson T-Type Alnico 5 Humbuckers. These are Gibson’s modern take on the legendary "T-Top" pickups, offering incredible note definition, touch sensitivity, and amazing clarity.
The original push/pull pots have been removed in favor of a hand-wired harness with a treble bleed circuit. This simplified, high-quality signal path provides superior reliability and a more musical taper on the volume and tone controls.
The upgraded roller saddle bridge significantly reduces string friction and "binding" at the bridge, while a high density stop bar increases sustain and resonance.
Finished with weighted metal knobs for a sleek look and a more substantial feel than plastic.
The Satin Wine Red finish on the body and neck ensures a smooth, fast feel that never gets sticky.
This guitar has been meticulously maintained and seen very little play time since the upgrades were completed. There is one very small ding on the front of the guitar that's too small to show up in photos.
Includes new gig bag. New Super Slinky strings installed.
The guitar weighs about 9.6 lbs.
