This is the Rosewood example from the 2024 Pearl × DrumArt Artisan Custom collaboration — in this upgraded brass hoop and SR-100 Philharmonic configuration.
Earlier Rosewood models were fitted with standard SR-17 hardware and steel hoops. This example was specified with Pearl’s orchestral-grade SR-100 silent strainer system and 2.3mm brass hoops, elevating both tonal character and mechanical precision.
The original DrumArt collaboration occurred in 2017. The second run followed seven years later in 2024. Production remains boutique and intermittent.
This configuration stands alone among the Rosewoods we have handled.

This is a true 30mm solid stave shell — not ply and not veneer.
The gloss finish reveals deep vertical grain contrast and darker heartwood striping throughout. The shell presents with exceptional visual depth compared to previous Rosewood examples.
Internal rosewood stabilization posts reinforce structural integrity under high tension. The overall mass and density are immediately apparent in hand.
This is a substantial instrument.
