For sale is a USA-made Ovation 1860 Custom Balladeer acoustic-electric from 1993, built in New Hartford, Connecticut. This is the classic mid-’90s 1860 with a solid spruce top, cutaway body, and Ovation FET preamp—a great-sounding, super comfortable stage and studio guitar.
It plays easily up the neck thanks to the cutaway and has that signature Ovation clarity and projection, whether unplugged or amplified. This example is in very good condition for its age, with normal light cosmetic wear but no structural issues. Electronics work as they should.
Includes the original Ovation hard case, and I’ll also include the original Sam Ash purchase receipt from 1994, which is a cool piece of provenance.
If you’re looking for a real-deal USA Ovation from the golden era, this is a great one.
