For your consideration is an almost brand-new U.S.-made partscaster. Excellent condition is an understatement; it is virtually mint.
The body is a single piece of swamp ash custom made by BYOG guitars in New Hampshire, and hand-finished in open grain satin cherry sunburst by luthier Micah Plante of Bristol Vermont. The neck is 24.75" scale Warmouth mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard and mother of pearl dot inlays and TUSQ nut. (The shorter scale neck allows for easier note bending, ala Les Pauls.) The guitar weighs just under 7.5 lbs.
The pickups are an HSS trio of Seymour Duncans in a pre-wired pickguard hand-wired by SmokeyB's Electronics of Portland OR. The neck and middle pickups are SD Five-Two strat single coils (DCR 6.25), and the bridge is an SD Alnico II Pro humbucker (DCR 8.31). The controls are as follows: 1 volume; 1 tone; 1 "Gilmore" bridge pickup toggle; and 5-way pickup selector. The bridge is a Schaller Non-Tremolo Roller Bridge with multiple adjustment capabilities and the tuners are Schaller locking 3+3 tuners - chrome = M6 Pin - large metal 19.5. Neck width at nut is 1.65". Fingerboard is 10"-16" compound radius.
It was recently set up by a professional luthier with 9/42 strings and very low action.Altogether, I spent almost $2.5K putting this guitar together. It looks and plays great. But I need to thin the herd, and I find myself gravitating more toward Les Paul styles. So just a few months after I had it put together the way I wanted it -- and receiving only light play -- I'm now listing it for sale.I've provided all the info I can, but if you have more questions, please fire away. I'm a player not a dealer, so I'm not in a position to take returns so please review the info carefully.
