The Roland D-70 Super LA Synthesizer is a 76-key digital synthesizer produced from 1990 to 1994, which utilizes a mix of Linear Arithmetic (LA) synthesis and PCM samples, effectively acting as a powerful ROMpler with extensive real-time controls.

The D-70 was marketed as the successor to the popular D-50 but is technically closer to the Roland U-20/U-220 series of sample playback instruments (ROMplers), with advanced filtering capabilities.
Synthesis Engine: Features advanced LA synthesis, combining digital ROM samples with "Differential Loop Modulation" (DLM) and powerful resonant Time-Variant Filters (TVF), Time-Variant Amplifiers (TVA), and Time-Variant Envelopes (TVE).
