Looking for a great low-power tube amp? Check out this Vox Lil' Night Train Set. It’s a small, low-wattage, and portable guitar amplifier head and extension cabinet that delivers surprisingly big tone. This set includes the Vox Lil' Night Train Head and the V110NT cabinet. The all-tube Lil' Night Train Head is equipped with a pair of 12AX7 preamp tubes and a 12AU7 tube in the power amp.
This particular Lil' Night Train Head is in mint condition. It's essentially brand new – I only opened the box to take photos. The cabinet has been used lightly in a smoke-free home studio with other low-wattage heads.
The Lil' Night Train Head offers both Bright and Thick modes for a variety of tones. Bright mode provides a chimey top-end boost reminiscent of early rock, along with a 2-band EQ for tone shaping. Thick mode bypasses the EQ and adds a significant gain boost for bluesy breakup and overdrive. At just 2 watts, you can enjoy these tones at reasonable volumes, making it ideal for recording. The cabinet features a custom Celestion 10" speaker and is loud enough for rehearsals and smaller gigs.
