Used 1984 Gibson Invader, maroon/red finish with custom graphics. Non-original owner. Not sure if graphics are factory, but look very nice and similar to what I have seen online with some designer series Explorers and V's. Graphics look and feel like paint, not attached pre-formed material. Regarding the Gibson designer series, I found one online source stating that in January 1985, only the Custom Graphics were listed in the Gibson lineup (still at an additional $85), but expanded to include the Invader guitar and Explorer bass, but serial number dates this guitar to early 1984.
Guitar condition is good but show signs of age and wear. Finish checking throughout the body and headstock, rusted and tarnished screws and hardware. Frets are low and flat. Pickups are labeled Sonex 180 Deluxe. All electronics function.
Case is Gibson branded chainsaw case with some scuffs and wear, one large rough spot on the back side. Gibson label scratched but intact, latches work. Minimal interior padding.
Pro setup with D'Addario 9-42 gauge strings (October, 2025).
