Partscaster with all Fender parts. I wanted a candy apple red strat with a rosewood board that didn't cost $2,000+ so I decided to build one. The body came from Musician's Friend and is listed on their website as "Fender Stratocaster SSS Alder Body Vintage Bridge" ($400), the neck is a Robert Cray neck 9.5' radius rosewood puchased from The Stratosphere, and the pickups are Custom Shop Texas Specials ($300). It also has a MojoTone Standard Solderless wiring harness. It's in excellent condition, no dents/dings/scrathes. I'm listing overall as good because it needs new strings and also could use a setup, a bit of noise with the pickup selector if it isn't in position good. All easily fixable. But there's a lot to like about this guitar, great looking, great pickups, great neck. Here's what Sweetwater says about the pickups: The pickup that redefined the Texas blues sound. Overwound, calibrated, vintage style Strat pickups with plenty of midrange chirp, crystal highs and tight bass. Alnico 5 magnets and enamel coated magnet wire create the increased output that demands respect! Throw in a reverse wound/reverse polarity middle pickup for hum canceling in positions 2&4. OEM on the Stevie Ray Vaughan, Bonnie Raitt, American Texas special, and many Custom Shop Strat. Available in white only.
