Legendary rack mount Roland V Synth XT. I rated this as Fair condition because it is “not broken not 100% functional “. Let me explain:
Only functional issue is that the Value knob needs repair or replacement. The knob turns in incremental clicks however values do not always advance or decline. I found it unusable for changing the value of preset numbers so I got used to using the Inc and Dec buttons which work fine without issue. The Value knob needs to be replaced/repaired for this great synth to be FULLY operational. I found that the Inc and Dec buttons worked fine for changing values of various parameters so I used this as an effective work around.
Cosmetic condition is nice with a few tiny dings around display bezel and some rack rash on top - see all pictures. Volume knob works fine (usually a problem area with Roland synths from this era). Touch screen works fine and the display works great without issue. Comes with factory D50 and Vocal Designer cards! Just the cards alone sell for $350-$500.
I don’t have the factory box but I will carefully pack it for safe travels.
NOTE: as a victim of parts swapping by an unscrupulous “buyer” of another vintage synth with hard to find parts, I can not accept returns on this item. I have rated it accurately and it is priced to allow for $500 repair costs and still come in under the used market value of $995. As a result, it is sold As-Is and priced accordingly.
