Purchased in May 2025. Primarily a Gibson player, so this guitar saw very little use. Meticulously maintained in a smoke-free home. Completely original and kept in its case. Fully set up and ready to play.
The Return of the CE
The new and improved PRS CE 24 brings you the snappy attack, woody tones, and American twang of a bolt-on maple neck at an appealing PRS price point. The CE 24's TCI-tuned 58/15 LT humbucker set offers coil splitting via the tone control, letting you blaze through tonal options onstage to tap into vintage dual-coil richness, hard rock humbucking overdrive, and immaculate single-coil leads alike. The CE 24's fast maple neck glides through the hand for seamless transitions between upper and lower frets, and its rosewood fingerboard provides the kind of balanced articulation veteran players are sure to love.
Fine-tuned and musical 58/15 LT humbuckers
When you plug in the CE 24 to your favorite amplifier, you will be enveloped in a rich and decidedly vintage tone courtesy of dual 58/15 LT humbuckers. The sound is similar to the warm, clear tones that have propelled the original 58/15 pickups to the top of many of Sweetwater guitarists' favorite PAF-style pickup lists. But these pickups are treated to the company's TCI (Tuned Capacitance and Inductance) tuning, which means the team at PRS has used their years of know-how to sculpt the sound to be perfect to their ears. The end result is a very musical pickup that's true to its lineage, but updated for the modern player. Plus, pulling up on the tone knob attains true single-coil chime.
Bolt-on maple neck captures the excitement of the original
Fans of the original CE series from the 1980s to the 2000s will feel right at home playing the updated PRS CE 24's bolt-on maple neck. The CE 24 plays a lot like a Custom 24 but has a woodier attack and sharper bite you can really dig into. Whether you play blues leads or rock 'n' roll rhythms, the PRS CE 24 has the tonal diversity you're after.
Irresistible looks and playability
A balanced mahogany body, treble-enhancing maple top, and velvety rosewood fingerboard give the CE 24 a warm and balanced sound with a look you won't want to keep your hands off. Sweetwater guitarists are big on the CE 24's thinner body and more comfortable top carve, which feel great against the wrist and forearm for strumming.
Revamped finish for classic feel
Never one to stand pat, PRS has retooled the finishing process for its latest models. Taking cues from Private Stock finishes that entail high-gloss nitro over a cellulose CAB basecoat, the result is a finish that's thin, durable, and crystal clear — the perfect formula for vintage feel and superior resonance.
