One of the coolest vibes out there. Vintage design, fully analog, tweakable filters & yes stereo. The swish between two amps is unreal. In a world of $600 vibes, somehow this isn't one of them. Read more below on what makes this thing tick.
This unit is custom painted in old school black and white vs standard purple. It has the optional expression jack or you can use the jumbo knob on the side for speed control. Comes with original box and manual, no power supply. The builder wrote something on the bottom of the pedal but otherwise, it's in mint condition.
It will take a standard 9v supply but actually works better at 12v, even 15v. Retroman sells an 18v supply so I think it's safe to say this can handle 9-18v. He sells the stock purple one with expression jack for $305. The custom paint version is another upgrade. So you get all that without the 6 week wait - and 25% off the new cost.
A note on returns -- My store isn't a resale business, I don't have an inventory. I'm just a guy reevaluating his gear collection. I'd prefer to avoid the "try before you buy" mentality and sell to people who know what it is they want. That being said, Gear Exchange will have your back if the item is not as described or damaged. What makes the UberVibe so special?
HAND SELECTED GLASS CAPPED CADMIUM SULFIDE LDR CONSTRUCTION, as in the originals....
HAND POLISHED ALUMINUM SHROUD - extremely reflective!
SELECTABLE JFET BUFFER! Want a little extra sparkle on clean passages? No problem! Flip the buffer on (via external toggle switch)and your clean highs will shimmer....or leave it in the "vintage" position for a round, ever so slight, round-off of the tone.
SWEEP-ABLE FILTER RANGES! Each stage of the UberVibe allows for tonal shaping via the bank of 4 knobs in the "Filter" section. "Waaaaah" to "Woooow", subtle to seasick, you can find it in there.
SIDE-MOUNTED SPEED KNOB! Much easier to navigate than a top mounted control - roll the knob toward you for higher speeds...away from you (clockwise) for slower rates.....or, you could always use the:
(OPTIONAL) EXPRESSION PEDAL JACK! On the side opposite the "Speed" knob, a jack has been provided to introduce an Expression Pedal for speed control. The Roland EV-5 is a fine choice for this task and works wonders for funky speed changes.
BI-COLOR SPEED LED! RED means you are LIVE - Green means "safe" - you are in bypass mode. In both cases, the LED flashes at the same speed and dynamic intensity as the internal Incandescent lamp....so you can SEE what you will HEAR!
TRUE BYPASS Switching (via 4PDT footswitch)
"ACCENT" Control! You choose the envelope shape! This controls the on/off timing of the incandescent lamp. Completely adjustable BY YOU!
