Great pedal, with VERY interactive controls. A knob tweaker's dream in a rare, limited release. Part of Eathquaker's "Cabinet Series" emphasizing rare pedals, rather than another K or TS clone.
Here's the description from the maker's site:
Grand Funk Railroad’s Mark Farner played some pretty obscure gear top to bottom, and perhaps none is more mysterious than his guitar’s onboard fuzz circuit, the AA-battery powered Tone Messer, found in the Musicraft Messenger guitar.
With only 250 Messengers built in total—and far fewer with the Tone Messer upgrade added—the legend of Farner’s lead tone was one of the last great mysteries in the world of effects. Our Majestic Railway gives you not just the Tone Messer circuit, but the bones of the guitar itself; a pickup simulator and guitar-style volume and tone knobs sit before the actual fuzz circuit, along with an output boost so you can use it without diming your amp.
Controls:
MASTER This is a simple output volume control.
TONE: This controls a simple guitar-style tone control. Because the fuzz circuit that sits after it is on the bright side, this control has been given an expanded range to affect the brightness more significantly.
VOLUME: This is the fuzz control of the Majestic Railway, emulating the guitar’s volume knob heading into the fuzz circuit. Because it’s wired like a guitar’s volume control, turning it all the way down cuts the sound completely.
Power: Accepts pedal-standard center-negative DC plug capable of supplying no more than 9 volts.
