I purchased this Korg Wavedrum Global Edition new from Sweetwater in December of 2013. It has been used in my home studio only, never on a gig. All features are in 100% working order and it's in excellent condition. The original manual, power supply and box are included. It will ship by either FedEx or UPS, will be insured, and will be double boxed.
This is how Grok described it: "This instrument resembles a 10-inch hand drum with a responsive synthetic head and rim. Multiple pickups and a pressure sensor detect strikes, rubs, scratches, pressure application, and techniques like slaps or mutes. Players can use hands, fingers, sticks, mallets, or brushes, with the system responding differently based on striking position, velocity, and tool. A unique feature allows applying pressure after a strike to bend pitch, alter timbre, or sustain notes. It offers improved pickup precision over earlier models, enhancing dynamic range (from soft nuances to powerful hits) and sensitivity for players of all levels. An adjustable input sensitivity parameter matches the instrument to individual playing styles. The dual sound engine blends: DSP synthesis: 60 algorithms (including physical modeling, analog, additive, and non-linear methods) for organic, evolving, or experimental tones. PCM samples: 400 sounds (200 for the head, 200 for the rim). Head and rim trigger different sounds simultaneously. It includes 200 preset programs and 200 user-editable slots, covering: Standard drums (snares, toms, congas, djembes, cajons)
Global/ethnic percussion (talking drum, darbuka, udu clay pot, jugo bamboo marimba, gongs, cowbells, triangles), Exotic/stringed emulations (sitar, koto, berimbau), Synthetic and effects-heavy sounds.
Live Mode — Instantly recalls up to 12 favorite programs for performance.
140 built-in loop phrases — Across genres for jamming or practice.
AUX input — Mixes or plays along with external audio (e.g., MP3 player or another Wavedrum).
Outputs — Stereo headphone/line out.
Portability — Mounts on a standard snare stand"
