Straight Sidewalls
The inner walls of the mouthpiece are flat from the tip extending into the chamber. This is a design first made popular by Berg Larsen in 1940’s.
Roll-over Baffle
The angle at which the roll-over starts at the tip rail was carefully chosen for just the right amount of edge, without being harsh. Perry at Chuck Levin’s was very instrumental in picking ‘just right the right amount of edge without being harsh’.
Theo's Proprietary "Bullet" Drop Off Baffle
A ‘bullet chamber’ such as ones found in Berg Larsen mouthpiece. It's basically a transition from the baffle to the chamber of the mouthpiece at the back of the mouthpiece floor. We used a unique ‘ovalized’ shape for this to add fullness to the already focused sound.
Shark-Gill™ Chamber
The Shark-Gill™ design is patented by Theo Wanne and licensed to use in this mouthpiece.The Shark-Gills™ disturb the airflow in a specific way to remove air pockets in the mouthpiece/neck/saxophone. This allows the airstream to flow closer to the walls of the mouthpiece/neck/saxophone. The result is greater dynamics from soft to very loud, and an overall fuller sound.
