I purchased this guitar in October 2025 and have since purchased a historic reissue Gibson Les Paul so need to get this one moved on to a new owner! The Eastman SB59s I have owned have been built with a high level of quality and this one is no different - the frets are nice and polished with no noticed issues. The figuring of the maple top on this guitar is very unique and is one of the reasons I decided to buy it.
While owned, I made two adjustments to this guitar that I believe were an improvement. The Seymour Duncan '59 pickup set was changed to a Gibson 498T/490R pair which helped out with the mids that I felt were lacking a bit with the factory installed pickups. I also removed the orange drop caps (0.047uF) and replaced them with lower value mustard style caps to not sweep as much of the highs and upper midrange when rolling the tone down (0.01uF neck, 0.022uF bridge). There is a picture included to show the wiring/installation job (it was done very neatly). I do not have the original Seymour Duncan '59 pickups.
Not interested in trades, please.
