Up for sale is an iconic fuzz pedal in great working condition. I got this Marshall Supa Fuzz pedal in the mid 60’s as a gift. It was supposedly used by the lead guitarist for a group called Cactus of which my friend’s brother was a roadie for. Apparently the guitar player moved on to other pedals and I was asked if I wanted it. Of course!!

I used this pedal for a few years and that was it. Since the early 70’s it was unused and in my closet. Unfortunately the bottom to the case was lost and so were the knobs. In that time, unprotected in my closet, the bread board developed a slight crack which did not at all affect the performance. I put some epoxy on the board at that time and it has sealed and maintained the fault ever since. The filter pot was changed out as it developed a bare area where no signal came through. I recently purchased a reissue case and installed the bottom and the feet that came with it. New Marshall knobs were also installed. This Marshall Fuzz pedal is now once again complete and ready for a new life of glory!

The most important factor is that the electronics are fully original and work perfectly. The pedal now presents excellently and plays totally awesome. I can tell you from the experience I having owned and played through countless fuzz and overdrive pedals in the past fifty plus years is that this pedal sounds like nothing else on the planet and that is why it is so coveted. After playing with it for a bit, my best description of the fuzz, is ferocious!!! It is over the top excellent sounding!

From: Google:

The Marshall Supa Fuzz is a legendary vintage Germanium transistor fuzz pedal, originally made by Sola Sound (makers of the Tone Bender) for Marshall in the late '60s, known for its thick, harmonically rich, and sustained tones, similar to the Tone Bender MKII but often described as darker or bassier. It features simple Volume and Filter (gain/tone) controls, producing classic '60s rock sounds used by legends like Jimi Hendrix

and Pete Townshend.

Key Characteristics:

• Circuit: Based on the Tone Bender MKII, often using OC75 or OC81 Germanium transistors for warm, saturated fuzz.

• Controls: Simple Volume (output level) and Filter (controls fuzz intensity/tone/gain).

• Sound: Produces thick, biting, harmonically rich fuzz with excellent sustain, capable of flute-like or crunchy tones.

• Variants: Early models (MKI) had closer knobs and were based on Tone Bender MKI, while later versions (MKII) had more standard spacing and were closer to the MKII circuit.

• Notable Users: Jimi Hendrix, Pete Townshend (The Who), Jeff Beck, Iggy Pop (The Stooges).

• Distinguishing Features: Unique sand-cast enclosure, often with a stenciled Marshall logo; battery-powered (positive ground).
