This is a custom made Ludwig (Build out) single ply maple snare drum… Using a hand selected, Vaughncraft steam bent flame maple shell…this a beautiful instrument! The Photos don’t do it justice…

Built by master craftsman Chris Boehme, who is custom drum builder here in the Los Angeles area …He has built snare drums for Ringo Starr, Kenny Aronoff, and Greg Bissonette, just to name a few….
This gorgeous drum measures 5 x 14 with
2.3 triple flange hoops …
45 degree bearing edges are perfect
10 tube lugs with brass inserts.
Snare beds are cut to perfection
Solid maple re-rings
It sounds absolutely amazing, tuned high for an ear piercing rim shot! Or tuned low for that deep phat back beat we drummers all know and love…
