The PL 201 protects sensitive electronic components with a HF/RF interference filter, which is a high voltage surge and transient suppressor. The fast acting suppression circuit responds quickly, clamping, spikes, and surgeons to safe levels. The filter works to prevent noise from electronic motors, fluorescent lights, and other similar sources from leaking from the AC line into the Audio. If the unit shorts are overloads, you can reset the unit by pressing the protection switch. The unit has a master power switch with power indicators for accessory outlets on the rear. the lights power switch controls the lights and the dimmer knob dims the lights. The PL201 has a voltage meter which shows the actual voltage between 90 V and 120 V
