Purchased this guitar brand new about a month ago. I have sawed a slot into the bridge pin holes so the ball of the string seats directly into the soundboard. I also installed a Mitchel’s Plate Mate under the bridge. This protects the wood from sinking up over time. Both of these modifications increased the volume and sustain…..basically sounds better now than when I got it.
There is a 3mm little dent on the sound board with a scratch that follows it. The blade got hung up in the slot and came out and dinged it there.
I also found the action was too high when it came out the box even after adjusting the truss rod. So I replaced it the factory saddle with a bone saddle, but will include the original in the gig bag. All and all, it sounds great and cool to have around to pick up. Only selling because I’m not crazy about the 24inch scale length. Looking to switch out for a 12 fret 000 with 25inch scale length.
Also, this one does not come with a pickup and preamp. Strictly guitar.
Let me know if you have any questions.
