Used Electra Omega X-230, fair condition, player's grade, with import case. Functionally good but listed as fair due to cosmetic condition. Dings and dents all over the body with extensive buckle rash and worming on the back. Front of body is fairly clean with only several dings and scrapes and a small white circular area beneath the clear pickguard. Flamed veneer looks good and black block inlays look nice against the maple board. However, a previous owner has scraped musical location identifiers on frets 4, 6 and 8 which are visible. Fretboard separation was evident when I received the guitar, which I had professionally repaired, but repair can seen and slightly felt on the bass side frets 1-3. Model ID on the back of the headstock is partially worn so X -230 almost appears as Y-231.
Selector switch functions:
Position (1) Both pickups in series and in phase, (2) neck (3) both pickups in parallel (the standard Les Paul middle position), (4) bridge (5) Both pickups in series and out of phase. Two switches are low pass filters for each pick up, I think. I used only bridge or neck PU, didn't use the selector switch much. I could not hear any "quack" in positon 5.
Note that with a pickup tap test, in positions 1 and 5, only the neck pickup responds to the tap. I assumed this is wiring of both pickups in series with the neck pickup acting as the mega pickup.
Case is in good shape and is for an import model, but might not be specific for this Electra. No branding. Headstock almost touches the bottom of the case with ~1/8" clearance and the D and G string tuner tips touch the bottom of the case
Non-original owner, purchased guitar w/case on Reverb about 2 years ago. Pro set up prior to listing. with 10-46 guage strings in July 2025. A pair of extra switches were in the case compartment when I received the guitar, and are included.
Guitar Weight: 8 lbs. 10 oz.
