I have been fortunate enough to play several James Trussart guitars. This Deluxe SteelCaster raises the bar significantly. In addition to its stunning visual appeal; this guitar rings for days. It is equally adept at creating crystal clear Tele/Gretsch tones or searing/overdriven lead sounds. This guitar plays effortlessly. It has a slim profile flame Koa neck and the Bigsby operates flawlessly. I purchased this guitar from the original (elderly) owner who ordered the guitar from Mr. Trussart over 25 years ago. The tuners were upgraded to Sperzel locking tuners at some point. There is some forearm wear in the finish on the lower bass side of the body. A few small dings on the headstock. And there is some pitting on the side of the body where the top and bottom are welded together (all very minor). This guitar truly sounds and plays as good as it looks.
