Aside from a couple minuscule marks, this horn is in like-new condition. The tech checked it for leaks, examined pads and key action, and commented that it's pretty much a new horn. As usual for a student Yamaha, it plays way above its price tag and Yamahas are among the most durable and low-maintenance horns you can buy today. Just awesome horns that set the standard for today's instruments. They play so great, that I sold my pro horn and have been playing a similar "student" Yamaha and have been totally content ever since. And, perhaps most importantly, if taken care of they hold their value better than just about all other brands.
I realize there are plenty of Yamaha altos listed on the internet, so I am pricing this one under half the price of it new. Check the prices of other similar Yamaha models in this condition and you will see that I have priced this one to sell. Case is in new condition as well. Will last a student years and years.
