I purchased this guitar from Sweetwater in February 2025 as a Demo model for $1143.12 (new price is $1,299) because there was a small indentation on the top of the truss rod cover. It also had small scratches on the body's treble side. I have to say that the scratches and dent are barely noticeable. There are very minor scratches/marks from normal wear and playing, but all the wear isn't noticeable in photos.
I had a basic setup done at the time of purchase and later had intonation, nut, and saddle tweaked to sustain better. The nut also had sharp corners that were smoothed out. Now, the guitar plays easily and sounds great. It has great sustain and tone for about a third of the cost of a Gibson J-45. This is the Inspired by Gibson Custom based on the 40's Banner model. It sounds great and looks awesome.
This J-45 is an affordable version of a vintage banner styled guitar. It has a thermally aged Adirondack spruce top. I have also played it regularly and put 72 hours on it with the Tone Traveler aging (sound/vibration) system. This J-45 has been played only at home and not gigged with. I always store it in the hard case with Humidipaks.
It's a great guitar and I'm not really sure why I'm selling other than the fact that I have a couple of other slope shouldered dreads that I love and I seem to always see something else that I want.
