Built in the USA in 2013 thisPresentation Series guitar was given Taylor’s most elegant appointments,ultimately showing off what the Taylor workshop is capable of. The PS56cefeatures a Sitka Spruce top, Cocobolo back and sides, a Tropical Mahogany neckwith Cocobolo backstrap, an Ebony fingerboard, along with a Taylor ExpressionSystem and heirloom-quality Paua Nouveau and Abalone inlays all across theguitar.

Thesatin finish neck plays very comfortably, its profile giving you a soft ‘V’shape that results in excellent thumb positioning, all while feeling moderatelythin which pairs well with the 1 ⅞” neck width to overall make for one of thebest playing 12 strings we’ve come across. The Grand Symphony body style feelsfull and responsive without being as cumbersome as a dreadnought and thevenetian cutaway gives excellent access to the upper register.

The toneof the PS56ce is very well balanced, with a controlled yet full low end, anopen and clear midrange, along with crisp and articulate highs. The guitar projectsvery well and has brilliant note separation, giving you a wonderful sense ofclarity in even the most complex of chords. The Taylor Expression System 2 wellinterprets the voice of the guitar with simple, intuitive controls for volume,treble and bass.
