This model replaced the popular YAS-23, and just like it, this model plays way above its price tag and is nothing like a beginner horn. This one has hardly been played and is like new.
Yamahas are popular because they sound terrific, are built to last, and hold their value far better than most other brands. I find it humorous that the model they classify as a "student" model will keep up with many pro horns that sell for three times the price.
I play a 23 model alto and tenor and have tried many pro horns. None were good enough for me to stop playing these "student" models. You just can't beat them for the price.
Includes the Yamaha 4C mouthpiece and cap, box of 8 new Rico reeds, neck strap, cork grease, cleaning cloths, mouthpiece cleaner, and manual. Everything you need in order to get started is in the case.
Price new is around $2,500. This is in like-new condition and I have priced it well below half the price of a new one.
