Item Description

For your consideration is1977 Gretsch Super Axe. Overall the guitar is in very good shape for it's age with only light to moderate play wear. The factory pickups sounds really warm and vintage but have enough bite for even hard rock. The original electronics stopped functioning and a new control plate was made. The guitar is wired like a Gibson ES-335 and functions perfectly. Playability is excellent with low action with only light fret wear.

Comes with a non original, super nice Gator hard case. (A-15)

_CONDITION, RETURN POLICY, SHIPPING, & SETUP:_

I sell used guitars and most guitars have normal play wear. I am a stickler for condition and I will not sell a guitar with issues of any kind unless stated. I've been selling guitars since the 80s and I try my best to find the best examples out there.

Due to the recent rash of buyers remorse, all orders are now AS-IS / NO RETURNS. Buy with confidence, we sell over 500 items a year on Reverb!

Please note the shipping charge is more than just a box. Everything I sell is professionally packed with approved UPS materials. I typically use new 275lb rated heavy duty boxes, 3" wide brown fiberglass reinforced glue tape, and pack the guitar to survive a hurricane. I fully insure all guitars shipped for the selling price.

I setup guitars to my liking (Medium Height) and I never buy guitars with neck issues. Please realize that a guitars setup is personal preference. It's best to have a local tech you're comfortable with do a proper setup to your liking who knows you and your preferences. I do not accept returns if you don't like how it plays out of the box. Again, setup is personal preference and I setup to my liking.
