I'm original owner. Bought this guitar in Charlotte NC in 1979. This was Ovation's only attempt to compete with Fender's Telecaster. Production was limited to a few years -- late 70's to early 80's. Included is the hard shell Ovation case.
In the late 70's, I played this out for numerous gigs in yes, the smoky bars, so the pickguard is a bit stained from the smoke -- (I also smoked at the time and there's a small burn on the headstock from a cigarette put on the string tree -- common in the day -- see pic --- you will see small charred area).
The electronic are all great, frets have some wear, but still have years of life in them.
only small issues, the cigarette, burn on headstock, small crack in pickguard (common with this model) -- see pic - crack in close to input jack; and a very small scratch on the back of the neck at the top - does not affect playability. NO belt rash on back of guitar
Never has had any fretwork done -- from new, fret edges were polished and great.
Playing lead guitar, the guitar has 9 ga. strings on it.
Also included are a new set of strings, straplocs are on the guitar and Planet Waves D'Addarrio strap
ONLY reason I'm selling is: I've moved to much smaller house and am selling some of my guitars, amps and accessories and I just don't have the room I had previously.
