Hummingbird VOS spec
Gibson has a long history of producing masterpieces that will remain in the history of acoustic guitars. This model is a straight saddle Hummingbird model released in 1960 as Gibson's first square shoulder guitar.
The Hummingbird was loved by leading country and rock musicians at the time, but it is still loved by many guitar fans, both professional and amateur, both in Japan and abroad. The body is made of thermally aged Sitka spruce top, and mahogany is used for the sides and back. The neck is made of mahogany with a rosewood fingerboard, a combination that is truly the classic Gibson guitar.
The finish is VOS (Vintage Original Spec), which not only creates an atmosphere reminiscent of the looks and performance of the 1960s, but also takes time to finish with a thin lacquer finish and a hand-finished VOS treatment. Combined with the thermally aged spruce and fixed straight saddles, it produces a dynamic, full sound with moderate response and overtones.
In addition, it is made with attention to detail such as nitrocellulose lacquer and cow bone nut saddle, and you can feel the know-how and history that has been cultivated up to the present.
The tone that can cover a wide range from crisp to warm sounds is a model that Gibson fans and guitar fans alike should experience.
