Telephone Microphone (circuit-bent). Ever wanted that telephone sound in a recording but never really happy with plugins? Just plug this into a guitar amp (or even a DI) and you can get a "real" lofi, distorted (depending on how you configure the amp) telephone sound. There's nothing like the real thing and this gets that "telephone" sound through the ear piece of the handset. It is a lofi treble tone - but if you speak through the mouthpiece, you'll also get a darker/muffled sound (the mic is only in the ear piece though).
The original roller volume control has been re-purposed and is especially useful if using this in a "live" sound scenario (to control volume/feedback). A standard 1/4" jack so you can use any length guitar cable you want to go to your amp or DI. Also useful as a general "effect" microphone for recording a lofi option. This is an authentic, vintage telephone handset so it has a little normal wear (but roller potentiometer has been cleaned and jack is new).
