I bought this pedal new from Sweetwater as soon as it was released in 2012. It's had a modest amount of use over the years, only by me, and only in my smoke-free home studio.
This pedal is surprisingly versatile. It can go all the way to hard rock gain levels, but it's also good for low-to-medium-gain material as well.
To my ears, this pedal doesn't quite have the same amount of saturation as the Uberschall amp (even with the built-in boost engaged), but it definitely gets in the ballpark tonally. I DO think that this pedal benefits from adding another overdrive or boost in front of it, which opens up the top end a good bit.
The pedal has a classy high-gloss black finish that unfortunately shows every little mark after handling it. Visually, I'd rate my pedal a 9/10. The bottom of the pedal has never had velcro on it and is very clean cosmetically.
Purchase includes original box, user guide and Bogner "Galaxy" card/certificate of authenticity.
- A couple very minor imperfections regarding the box: The black interior of the box bottom had a sticker that peeled up some of the black surface paper (visible in photo).
- The box interior's protective molding around the perimeter is ripped in a couple places, but it still holds the pedal in place securely.
This pedal is probably as like-new as it gets and functions perfectly.
