I purchased this Leslie MK2101 used in 2020 when I noticed two flaws potentially from shipping:

1) some very minor wood damage in the case (see photos)

2) some background rotary noise through the rotary channel only when the rotary motor is engaged (see video: youtu.be/9s30k0jovy0 ). The noise does NOT get louder when you increase the volume.

BEFORE PURCHASE, NOTE THAT THIS UNIT HAS SOME BACKGROUND NOISE WHEN THE ROTARY MOTOR IS ENGAGED - I have not had it looked at for repair, so I do not know the extent of the issue. Otherwise, the unit functions perfectly, with great sound, all buttons and features work, which is why I decided to keep it, as it would work fine for using on road gigs. I used a subwoofer underneath the unit (all features work fine with the simulated Leslie effects as well).

I noticed that the depth of tone on this unit allows it to be used without a subwoofer, especially if "mic'ed" through the PA. Therefore, the MK2101 can easily be used stand alone as a compact and easy way to have that authentic gorgeous Leslie sound.

AGAIN NOTE: There is a noticeable rotary noise (see video) when the rotary channel is engaged - this is the case when using either the 11-pin or 1/4 cables (it is only noticeable on the rotary channel and when the rotary motor is engaged, it is not noticeable when the rotary motor is not spinning). The noise does not get louder as you increase the volume on either the MK2101 or the source Hammond.

I FOUND THAT: The rotary noise when engaged was negligible when played at mid-level volume or louder (as the noise DOES NOT increase as you increase the volume). Therefore it was hardly noticeable when playing on a stage, but IT MIGHT BE noticeable for studio recording or when playing gigs with really soft volume levels.

The item will be packaged much better for shipping this time around (compared to how I received it poorly packaged from Guitar Center).

Includes Manual and Power Cable only. Does not include 11-pin cable or any other cables.
