Yamaha Takeover at Sweetwater Brings Free Music Event to Fort Wayne on September 26

FORT WAYNE, Indiana. [Wednesday, August 19, 2026] – Sweetwater, the nation’s number one online retailer for music makers, has announced Yamaha Takeover, an exclusive storewide takeover at its flagship retail center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Scheduled for Saturday, September 26, from 11AM to 4PM ET, the free event will transform every room of the store into an interactive musical experience.

The event brings together Sweetwater and Yamaha to fill the entire campus with live sound, product showcases, free gear giveaways, and exclusive in-store deals available for one day only. Yamaha product specialists will also be on hand to showcase the very latest products, answer questions, and help customers find the best gear for their needs.

“This is exactly the kind of event that gets people excited,” said Adam Crampton, Sweetwater’s director of music store operations. “You've got product experts throughout the Music Store, live demonstrations in nearly every room with pop-up performances, plus exclusive one-day deals you won’t find anywhere else. It’s free, it’s fun, and it’s a great excuse to come in and get hands on with the latest gear.

Visitors will also have the chance to meet, hang out with, and possibly jam with the artists scheduled to appear. The list of Yamaha artists lined up for this event includes:

  1. Billy Sheehan, bassist — Mr. Big, the David Lee Roth Band, the Winery Dogs, the Fell
