          There are two types of Performances on the Roland XP30, Layer Performances and Single Performances. The upper right side of the display will indicate what type of performance it is. (\u201cLAYER<\/em>\u201d for Layer performances and \u201cPART<\/em>\u201d for Single performances).

          A Layer performance allows you to play two or more parts simultaneously on the keyboard for fat, rich sounds or splits. Select Single performances for playing songs using two or more parts. To select Performances follow this procedure:

          1. Press the [PERFORM<\/strong>] button.<\/li>
