Anytime you add a powerful new upgrade to an already powerful and flexible product there is bound to be some confusion. Thus is the case from this inSync reader who recently had a KDFX upgrade added to his K2500. “On my K2500 with KDFX, when I plug into the “D” Output jacks, I get all (and only) the “D” sounds on that stereo output, but the signal *also* still appears at the Mix Output jacks, along with A, B, and C material. What am I missing? Thanks in advance, oh Collective Wisdom.” While our wisdom may be collective, this answer will come from one Daniel Fisher.Ah, the joys of compounded flexibility! It’s actually a cool feature. If you edit the Studio (top level of KDFX edit) you will see an FX block, an AUX block, and a MIX block. The MIX allows you to send that Bus’s signal back to the MIX Bus at a specified amount (in dB’s). Underneath the MIX block there’s a parameter called “Lvl:”. It’s probably set to “0.0dB”. It takes a moment to get used to “0.0dB” not meaning “Off” as it does in some other parameters. 0.0dB means that the signal is also going to the MIX Bus at unity gain. Just scroll the MIX Lvl counterclockwise to “Off” (or type -999 ENTER) and you will have the desired absence of “D Output” sounds in your MIX.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","categories":[],"tags":[],"storecat":[],"itemids":[24235],"manufacturers":[33482],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\t\n
