{"id":3799,"date":"2001-07-18T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2001-07-18T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/?p=3799"},"modified":"2007-04-27T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2007-04-27T00:00:00","slug":"record-dat-through-2408-digital-performer","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/articles\/record-dat-through-2408-digital-performer\/","title":{"rendered":"How can I record to my DAT through my 2408 and Digital Performer?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>1.In Digital Performer go under &#8220;Basics&#8221; <br \/>2.Chose &#8220;Motu Audio System Options&#8221;<br \/>3.Then choose &#8220;Configure Hardware Driver&#8221;<br \/>4.Make sure your  &#8220;Clock Source&#8221; is set to PCI-324 Internal&#8221;<br \/>5.Close control panel.<br \/>6.Make sure you are using a &#8220;Digital&#8221; 75 ohm Coaxil cable , connected to the &#8220;DAT&#8221; <br \/>  output on the back of the 2408.This should travel to the S\/PDIF &#8220;in&#8221; on your DAT machine.<br \/>7.Make sure you set the DAT &#8216;s Sample rate to match whatever  your Digital Performers session is set to.<br \/>8.Also make sure your DAT is set to &#8220;Digital&#8221; for its record mode,(This may vary between DAT machines) and &#8220;S\/PDIF&#8221; for the type of Digital.<br \/>9.Place the DAT into &#8220;Record Pause&#8221; mode.<br \/>10.Any track in DP that is assigned to &#8220;Analog 1+2&#8221; will also appear at the &#8220;DAT&#8221; out .<br \/>11.You should see level on your DAT!
