If you&#8217;re getting a message like:<br \/>&#8220;Could not synchronize. Make sure that you have the same driver selected for input and output in the Sound Manager configuration dialog. (MOTU Audio System Mas SM Driver.cpp, 1336 [56:1])&#8221;<br \/>or &#8220;Error &#8211; 6011&#8221;<br \/>&#8230;when attempting to access MAS or a &#8220;no Digidesign hardware installed&#8221; message when attempting to access DAE turn the Digi sound manager driver off in the sound control panel:<br \/>1. Go to the apple menu\/control panels\/sound control panel.<br \/>2. For both sound ut choose &#8220;Built-in&#8221;.  For sound in, make choose anything _but_ &#8220;Digidesign&#8221;<br \/>3. Relaunch DP and try choosing DAE as the Audio System.<br \/>4. If it still doesn&#8217;t work, restart the computer and verify Sound control panel settings, then try DP again.<br \/>5. If the problem persists, go to the system folder\/preferences folder and trash the DigiSetup file and restart.
