However, you can change the note that a channel responds to using the Channel Inspector drawer. We call this process &#8216;Mapping&#8217; or &#8216;Re-Mapping&#8217; the channel&#8217;s midi note.<\/p>\n<p>If the Channel Inspector Drawer isn&#8217;t open, open it with the &#8216;Info&#8217; button (labeled with the letter &#8216;i&#8217;) that appears on the lower-left of the iDrum plug-in interface.<br \/>Select the channel you want to re-map.<br \/>In the Channel Inspector Drawer, click the MIDI note pop-up button and select the note you want to trigger this channel.<br \/>TIP: You can &#8216;layer&#8217; channels by assigning them to the same midi note. This can make for some really slammin&#8217; kick drum sounds. Try loading a big sub kick in one channel and a nice tight percussive kick on another. Then assign them to the same MIDI note.<br \/>Alternately, you can have iDrum &#8216;Auto-Map&#8217; the currently selected channel. Click the &#8216;Auto-Map&#8217; button in the Channel Inspector, and iDrum will assign the next note you press on your MIDI keyboard to the channel.
