There are two workarounds:<\/p>\n<p>Remove the PowerCore hardware from your system, and proceed with the validation \/ scanning. Put the PowerCore hardware back in your system again, after validating \/ scanning has been completed and you need to use the plug-in.<\/p>\n<p>Unload the PowerCore kernel extension.<\/p>\n<p>This is the equivalent to removing the PowerCore hardware from inside the machine, though it&#8217;s a lot more convenient and faster to do.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re unfamiliar or uncomfortable working with the command line, we recommend you remove the hardware from your system manually instead.<\/p>\n<p>Be aware that tinkering with the Mac OS X kernel extensions from the command line has the potential to crash your machine, so save any important work before proceeding.<\/p>\n<p>Ensure that you have a Root user enabled on your system.<\/p>\n<p>Open the Terminal application and type the following line exactly as below, followed by RETURN:<\/p>\n<p>cd \/System\/Library\/Extensions\/<\/p>\n<p>Type the following line exactly as below, followed by RETURN:<\/p>\n<p>sudo kextunload PowerCore.kext<\/p>\n<p>You will now be asked to type the Root password you set up for your Root account. After typing the Root password, hit RETURN.<br \/>The command line will confirm the action by telling you:<\/p>\n<p>kextunload: unload kext PowerCore.kext succeeded<\/p>\n<p>Proceed with plug-in validation \/ scanning. Since your computer can no longer see the PowerCore hardware, the PowerCore Messenger will inform you of this fact repeatedly. Once you&#8217;re completely done validating \/ scanning all plug-ins and need to use them, reverse the procedure from above.<\/p>\n<p>Open the Terminal application and type the following line exactly as below, followed by RETURN:<\/p>\n<p>cd \/System\/Library\/Extensions\/<\/p>\n<p>Type the following line exactly as below, followed by RETURN:<\/p>\n<p>sudo kextload PowerCore.kext<\/p>\n<p>You will now be asked to type the Root password you set up for your Root account.
