Symetrix 528e – Getting Started<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In this guide, we will provide you with a good starting point with your Symetrix 528e. Once you have your Symetrix 528e set up, feel free to experiment! Follow the steps below to get started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Symetrix 528e mic input settings<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Push the MIC\/LINE<\/em> switch IN<\/strong>.<\/li>
  2. Put the -15 PAD<\/em> switch in the NORM <\/strong>position (OUT<\/strong>).<\/li>
  3. Set the OUTPUT LEVEL<\/em> control at 0<\/strong> (the 12 o\u2019clock position.)<\/em><\/li>
  4. Set the MIC GAIN<\/em> control to achieve peaks of 0<\/strong> dB on the output meter when speaking into the microphone.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    1. Set the De-ess FREQUENCY<\/em> control to 3 o\u2019clock<\/strong>.<\/li>
    2. Set the De-ess THRESHOLD<\/em> control to 0<\/strong>.<\/li>
    3. Push the DE-ESS<\/strong> switch in to engage the DE-ESS effect.<\/li>
    4. Set the EXP THRES<\/em> control to -25<\/strong> (12 o\u2019clock)<\/em><\/li>
    5. Set the COMP THRES control to -10<\/strong> (12 o\u2019clock)<\/em><\/li>
    6. Set the COMP RATIO control to 2 <\/strong>(12 o\u2019clock)<\/em><\/li>
