1. Open a new Menu-Based DVD project.
2. Drag and drop the video you wish to use from the Explorer window onto the Workspace.
3. Single left click the button for this video to select it, then go to View > Crop and Adjust.
4. In the Keyframe Controller area of the Crop and Adjust window, position the cursor at the point in the time ruler where you wish to modify the menu button, then click the ‘Insert Keyframe’ button.
5. Crop or adjust the properties of the selected menu button for this first keyframe.
6. Reposition the cursor to a new location in the Keyframe Controller time ruler, then re-adjust the crop or property settings. When doing so, a new keyframe should automatically be created at this cursor position.
7. To animate a menu button’s size or position over time, you can use Transformation Keyframes in the Timeline window. To do so, first select your menu page in the Workspace. Go to the Menu Page Properties window, click the End Action tab, and set the ‘Command’ value to “Loop”. <\/p>\n
Click the General tab and set the ‘Loop Point’ value to a point later than “00:00:00.000”. If you are unable to edit the ‘Loop Point’ value, you may first need to set the ‘Menu Length’ value to “Specify” and then increase the ‘Length’ value. Go to the Workspace and single left click your button to select it. <\/p>\n
Go to the Button Properties window and click the Transformation tab. Change the ‘Show Before Loop Point’ value to “Yes”. Go to the Timeline window, right-click in the Transformations Keyframe bar located on the lower edge of the Video track, and select ‘Insert’ from the shortcut menu. This creates the first keyframe. <\/p>\n
8. To add additional keyframes in order to change the button’s size or position over time, first place your cursor at a new location in the Timeline window. Then, go to the Button Properties window, click the Transformations tab, and select new values for the Size and\/or Position settings. When these values are changed, a new keyframe should automatically be created at the cursor position in the Timeline window. <\/p>\n
