The following is a list of BIOS settings that are changed during the build process to optimize the system for audio. To enter the BIOS, repeatedly tap the “Delete” key as the Creation Station powers up. You should see “Entering Setup…” on the screen just before entering the BIOS. When in the BIOS, you will use the arrow keys on the keyboard to navigate, and the ENTER key to make selections. Only the settings that are changed are listed, so if there is question whether other settings may have changed navigate to the “Exit” tab, select “Load Setup Defaults” and press ENTER.<\/p>\n
– “Main” tab
o Legacy Diskette A = Disabled <\/p>\n
– “Advanced” tab
o USB Configuration (select and press enter)
Legacy USB Support = Disabled (unless you are using a USB
mouse and keyboard, in which case you will leave this enabled)
o Onboard Devices Configuration * (select and press enter)
Azalia Controller = Disabled
Serial Port 1 Address = Disabled
Parallel Port Address = Disabled<\/p>\n

o Hardware Monitor (select and press enter)
CPU Fan Speed = Ignored
CPU Q-Fan Control = Disabled
Chassis Fan 1 = Ignored or N\/A<\/p>\n

o Boot Device Priority ** (select and press enter)
1st Boot Device = Optical Drive (actual name may vary)
2nd Boot Device = System Drive (actual name may vary)
3rd Boot Device = Disabled
o Boot Settings Configuration
Full Screen Logo = Disabled<\/p>\n
* CSTowerLE’s and CSTowerPlus’s shipped after 9\/9\/06 will have the following changes under Onboard Devices Configuration:
Onboard AC’97 Audio = Disabled
Onboard LAN Boot ROM = Disabled
Serial Port1 Address = Disabled
Parallel Port Address = Disabled<\/p>\n
** The optical drive will normally show up as “PMLITE-ONDVD\/RW.” The system hard drive should show up as “3MST380….” As the actual name will vary, these are general guidelines on what to look for exactly.<\/p>\n
When these changes have been completed, go to the “Exit” tab and choose the option to save the changes and exit.
