Some of our Sweetwater customers are comfortable with adjusting components inside of a computer and it is fine if you choose to do so. Simply follow the instructions below. <\/p>\n
WIth computer turned off, place it on a flat surface with lid side up.<\/p>\n
Remove the 3 black screws hold in on the lid<\/p>\n
Slide the lid back and lift off the case.<\/p>\n
Remove the 4 screws retaining the left aux. hard drive cage.<\/p>\n
Lift the cage out and set aside.<\/p>\n
Remove the 2 screws retaining the fan to the case.<\/p>\n
Lift the fan housing out of the case. (It is a tight fit you may need the compress sides of the bracket to get it clear of the case.<\/p>\n
Position the fan so that the screw heads retraining the fan to the bracket are facing you.<\/p>\n
Turn computer on being careful that fan blades are clear.<\/p>\n
Select any screw and back it off slowly. If noise stops you are done with the step.<\/p>\n
If you are backing off and noise does not quit go to another screw and repeat above.<\/p>\n
Once the noise is gone you can retightnen screws just to the point of noise and then back off just until noise is gone again. This is to make sure the fan is not too loose in the bracket.<\/p>\n
If this corrects the noise go ahead and reinstall the fan and hard drive cage.<\/p>\n
If it doesn’t correct the noise it is probably a defective fan. Call Sweetwater tech support and we will get a replacement fan and a new bracket out to you ASAP. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","categories":[],"tags":[],"storecat":[],"itemids":[20294,20296,20300],"manufacturers":[],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\t\n
