I&#8217;ve tried the Sweetwater PC optimization guide, what else can I do?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Here are some settings that Digidesign recommends be done in addition to the standard optimization guide. Adjusting these settings often helps Pro Tools to function normally. <\/p>\n<p>For a Dell Inspiron laptop:<\/p>\n<p>Disable C-State Transition in the BIOS (press F2 during startup to enter BIOS)<br \/>Integrated USB Hub = High Speed in the BIOS <\/p>\n<p>After booting into windows do the following:<\/p>\n<p>USB Root Hub = change to Disable &#8220;Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power&#8221; <br \/>This is done by right clicking on &#8220;USB Root Hub&#8221; in the device manager, selecting &#8220;properties,&#8221; then Power Management. <\/p>\n<p>In the Control Panel go to Power Options = &#8220;Always On&#8221; (or Dell Quick Set Performance Mode)<\/p>\n<p>If you are having difficulty finding these settings, contact your Dell customer service center for additional help. <\/p>\n<p>Disable WiFi<br \/>Disable Bluetooth<br \/>Set FW Drive Policy to Optimize for Quick Removal<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","categories":[],"tags":[],"storecat":[],"itemids":[20944,25447,25448,25465,27978],"manufacturers":[33300],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v17.9 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"Check out the I can&#039;t get Pro Tools to work on my Dell Inspiron Laptop.
