To use an external sequencer with the XP-80, make the following system settings:<\/p>\n

First turn local and remote keyboard switches to “OFF.”<\/p>\n

1. Press SYSTEM.<\/p>\n

2. Press F3 [MIDI] to select the “MIDI Param 1” page.<\/p>\n

3. CURSOR to “Local Switch.”<\/p>\n

4. Use the VALUE Dial to set “Local Switch” to “OFF.”<\/p>\n

5. CURSOR Down to “Remote Keyboard Sw.”<\/p>\n

6. Use the VALUE Dial to set “Remote Keyboard Sw” to “OFF.”<\/p>\n

Now set the Sequencer “Through” to “OFF.”<\/p>\n

1. Press SEQUENCER.<\/p>\n

2. Press F1 [Setup].<\/p>\n

3. Press F6 [SEQ Sys].<\/p>\n

3. CURSOR to “Through.”<\/p>\n

4. Use the VALUE Dial to set “Through” to “OFF.”<\/p>\n

Now you are ready to connect the XP-80 to your external sequencer.
